The Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department, Inc is always looking for motivated individuals to serve as a volunteer to the citizens of Charles County, MD. We are a 100% Volunteer organization that stands ready to respond to any and all emergencies, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
We provide the following:
1. Free training provided by Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute - (earn College Credits)
2. A State Tax Deduction after 3 years of service
3. Lenght of Service Awards Program (LOSAP) - a retirement after 20 years of service at age 55
4. A sense of self satisfaction and community service
5. Meeting new friends and neighbors
6. Being able to experience the pride, professionalism and dedication that both the Volunteer and Career Fire & EMS service have to offer, with one exception - VOLUNTEERING is FREE, which only you can commit to.
Junior Membership Program
Our Junior Membership program is for indiviuals at least 14 years old and who are interested in the fire & EMS service. Junior Members will spend time learning the fire service and assisting with day to day tasks as they work their way towards becoming Probationary members of the department at age 16.

Drill are held every Monday evening at 7pm (Expect on Federal Holidays)
Business Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:30pm
