Statewide Burn Ban

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is implementing a statewide ban on open air burning, effective today, November 1, in all Maryland counties.

Mourning the loss of Kay O’Connor

Barbara Kay O’Connor passed away on July 22, 2024. Kay was a devote member of the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for more than 35 years. She was a welcoming presence at the fire department functions, making everyone feel like a part of the family. NVFD DES Ambulance
